Package prices exclude GST, permits and any additional services or enhancements required for your event. Any applicable extras will be added to your quote at the time of enquiry so you can review the total cost before proceeding.

Yes. You can enhance your picnic with a range of optional add-ons, including catering, balloons, florals, personalised signage, entertainment and other event enhancements.

We recommend choosing your core picnic package first. Once your event details are confirmed, you can select the additional elements that best suit your celebration, guest numbers and location.

Absolutely. Our picnic packages are perfect for birthdays, milestone celebrations and relaxed gatherings with family and friends, with setups available for groups of up to 80 guests.

You can personalise your birthday celebration with styling and add-ons such as catering, balloons, florals, milestone signage or entertainment. Cakes and BYO food are also welcome.

Yes. Our children’s party packages are suitable for all ages and use the same beautifully styled picnic setup as our other packages, with cushion seating, coordinated décor and options to personalise the celebration.

We can cater for groups of up to 80 guests, including children and adults. Adult guests are accommodated within the same cushion-style seating setup.

Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising children throughout the event, and the same range of add-ons available for our other picnic packages can also be selected for children’s celebrations.

We create styled picnics throughout metropolitan Melbourne, including parks, gardens, private homes, backyards and suitable indoor or event venues.

You can nominate your preferred park or location, and our team will check any permit requirements, accessibility, available space and delivery or setup considerations before the event is confirmed.

Locations more than 30 km from Melbourne CBD may incur an additional travel surcharge, which is calculated at the time of booking.

We recommend booking your picnic at least 14 days in advance, particularly for weekends, larger celebrations and events requiring additional styling or services.

All bookings are subject to availability and staffing capacity before your date is confirmed.

If your event is less than 14 days away, you’re still welcome to enquire. Last-minute bookings may be considered where availability allows, and all bookings must be paid in full before the event date.

If rain is forecast, you may request to move your picnic to a suitable undercover or indoor location with at least 14 days’ notice, subject to availability.

If you would prefer to change the event date, this can be requested with at least 7 days’ notice based on the weather forecast and subject to availability.

If you choose to cancel your booking instead, our standard cancellation terms apply:
• More than 30 days before the event: full refund of funds paid.
• Within 30 days of the event: 50% of the amount paid is retained.
• Within 2 weeks of the event: 75% of the amount paid is retained.
• Within 1 week of the event: no refund is available.

Yes. CYD provides a complete picnic experience, including delivery, setup, styling, pack-down and clean-up for your selected package.

Everything will be prepared before your agreed arrival time, allowing you and your guests to simply arrive and enjoy the celebration.

A $200 bond applies to bookings. The bond is returned within seven days after your event, provided there is no damage to the hired items or setup. Where damage occurs, the bond may be retained.

Choose your preferred package and provide your event date, time, guest numbers, location and celebration details. Our team will then confirm availability and staffing capacity before your booking is finalised.

Payment is made by bank transfer. For standard bookings:
• A 40% deposit is due within 7 days of booking confirmation.
• A further 20% is due 30 days before your event.
• The remaining balance is due 7 days before your event.

All bookings must be paid in full before the event date. Last-minute enquiries may also be considered subject to availability, with the required payment timing confirmed as part of the booking.
